What has Akomanga 4 Been Up To? Week 4 & 5 Check out all the great things we have been doing over the past few weeks. KIWICAN with Matua Zab & Whaea Louisa. Word Wizards!  This is our new favourite word game in our akomanga.  The tamariki are becoming so amazing at making up words with the letters, they are really blowing me away!! Working in groups to come up with a role play about one of our school values and what it looks like.  They are doing this for PB4L, which they are just so fantastic at! Presenting their roleplay to the class, everyone participated which is just fabulous as the tamariki have made 'participation' one of the expectations in our class treaty this year.  Great job you ROCKSTARS! Our Hauora game that Whaea Tracey-Lee taught us last year and we still play.  It is paper, scissors, rock, getting your whole team across to the other side.  The tamariki play really fair and they show immense encouragement to each other which is very heart warming. Akomanga 4 -  Term One 2022 Week 1-3 Kia ora e te Whānau, We have had a busy 3 weeks back at kura.  It was awesome to have almost all of my (your) tamariki return to kura and we have all been amazing at adjusting to our new normal.  The first week we did activities about getting to know our classmates and also sharing things about ourselves.  We completed a puzzle piece about ourselves that is now displayed on our akomanga wall.. We have been learning the kupu in te reo Māori for many of the classroom objects we use and the tamariki have turned it into a fun game that they can play independently at any time. We also have been getting outside for hakinakina everyday.  The tamariki have been showing some excellent ball handling skills and also some amazing teamwork and aroha towards each other. We have all been participating in some hauora activities, which included using natural resources to make something that represents ourselves.  There were some fantastic creations and the messages

Kootuitui Digital Immersion 2021

Kia ora, Today was the start of a fantastic learning journey that Akomanga 4 will be participating in this year. Some exciting news!!  We are going to be learning to become a digital class!  The students are going to learn, create & share their work.   Alongside the students the kaiako (Myself.. Whaea Tracy) will be learning also, so we are going to learn together (ako) and we are going to have heaps of fun and create some awesome mahi along the way, I can't wait! I am looking forward to using student voice to create our expectations around digital learning in the classroom and implementing digital devices into our everyday learning. So watch this space and you will see some creative learning being shared to our blog. LEARN  CREATE  SHARE
