Akomanga 4

Looks like a happy Nevaeh to me!  That's so cool you have received another learning pack, you will have so much mahi to do!  Wow, that book about the white-tailed spider looks interesting and just a little bit scary!  You will be able to tell me all about them.

Emmanuel was happy to finally get his learning pack and he is very happy.   His Mum sent in this photo for us.  Ka pai Emmanuel, you have lots of mahi to keep you busy!

Nevaeh Nevaeh has been busy everyday doing her mahi at home, that's really awesome Nevaeh! Thanks for sending us some pictures to show how hard you are working.  Ka pai!

😃 Here are some pictures that have been sent in showing how excited and happy some of the students are to receive their very own learning packs.  Noah & Azaria thanks for sharing. Damain is very happy to have received an extra learning pack, you will have lots of mahi to keep you busy Damain but you look so happy about it so that's great!

  Swimming We spent a good part of the first term learning to swim and practicing for swimming sports day. We had so much fun racing each other in groups and working together to make our swimming time fun.  Room 4 particularly loved swimming the 'truck'n'trailer' race and they came away from swimming sports with many placings! Many of the students said they couldn't do backstroke but every single one of them gave it a go and were very supported by the rest of the class in doing so.   I am very proud of Akomanga 4's achievements in swimming this year and the improvements I saw in their freestyle and backstroke after practicing hard.  Well done you are all Rockstars for sure! Maths Bingo Maths bingo is becoming a favourite game to play in our class at maths time which always ends in many loud shouts of "BINGO!"  Sometimes we switch cards and play another round.  We have a buddy system in place so that we are all helping each other. 

Kia ora whānau, welcome to Akomanga 4 2020 I will try my best to update you on what we did in Term One.  We will be using this platform of communication more regularly as we navigate distance learning in lock down.
